We are continually pushing ourselves to become better technicians, better competitors and grow as a team and taking some of the squad interstate was a great way to do this. Queensland has an energetic jiu jitsu scene with a lot of talented and hardworking athletes. It was exciting to be on the mats with different faces and different games and the DOMINANCE squad brought our trademark focus, technical approach and tenacity.
With only 13 athletes we took the second place team trophies for male gi and male no gi. An outstanding achievement in an event with 2100 registrations. This is a testament to the hardwork the team puts in everyday in the gym. The technical level, grit and sportsmanship this group showed all day was humbling and inspiring to be part of.
